Dry Creek Vineyard Heritage Vines Zinfandel 2021
Description
Heritage Vines Zinfandel affirms our passion and dedication to what has become California's signature grape varietal. The development of heritage vines began as an experimental project in 1982 to preserve the legacy of our valley's historic, older vine Zinfandel vineyards. Cuttings from pre-Prohibition sites in Dry Creek Valley provided budwood for grafting onto phylloxera-resistant rootstock. For decades we worked to screen and propagate virus-free vines from these iconic vineyards. In 1997 this process resulted in a "young vine" wine with "old vine" characteristics. Today, Heritage Vines Zinfandel represents the standard for cooler climate, well-balanced Zinfandel from Sonoma County.
