Vineyard
Lodi is Zinfandel country. The grapes thrive in the region’s Mediterranean-like climate and sandy soils. Located due east of San Francisco, Lodi experiences warm days and nights that are cooled by Pacific breezes funneled through the Carquinez Straits. Its fine granular soils offer excellent drainage, forcing the vines roots deep into the ground. This unique combination of climate, soil and old vines fosters small berry size which leads to intense color and rich concentrated flavors. The Brazin Old Vine Zinfandel is sourced from the best old vine Zinfandel vineyards in Lodi from the Cusimano and Van Ruiten vineyards.
