Noble Vines Collection 667 Monterey Pinot Noir 2021
Description
Vine selection 667 is one of the prestigious “Dijon clones” brought to California from the Cote d’Or in Burgundy, France. This vine stock forms tight, compact clusters that generate deep color and more layers of tannins than any other Pinot Noirs previously grown in California. The 2019 vintage of our 667 Pinot Noir opens with aromas of black cherry, currant and vanilla. Velvety tannins and bright, balanced acidity to support core flavors of ripe black cherry, boysenberry and delicate hints of vanilla and lavender.

We grow nearly half of our 667 Pinot Noir in Monterey's Santa Lucia Highlands, with the remainder sourced from the gentle slopes of our family-owned San Bernabe Vineyard and in nearby Arroya Seco. These sites offer heavy, dark soilds reminiscent of 667's ancestral home. In addition we use other esteemed vine stocks such as Pinot Noir 777 (also from Dijon, Burgundy), and the classic 115 which proviceds less structure, but addsextraodinary aromatics. We crush at our winery right in our San Bernabe vineyad, to better preserve the superior qualities produced by these time-tested vine stocks.
