About
Certified sustainable Quady Winery (Madera, California), specializes in sweet wine. Andrew Quady produced the first varietal bottling of an Orange Muscat dessert wine (Essensia, 1980) in the U.S., followed by a Black Muscat dessert wine (Elysium, 1983). In 1988, Quady introduced Starboard Batch 88, made from Portuguese grapes in the port style. In 1990, Quady began producing low-alcohol Moscatos, first made from Orange Muscat and Muscat Canelli (Electra), then Black Muscat (Red Electra). Quady launched Vya Sweet and Extra Dry Vermouth in 1999, the leading premium U.S. vermouth brand.
